Emerald Queen Norway Maple
A very widely planted maple, with good, broadly oval structure. It has attractive dark green leaves that turn a golden yellow in the Fall. It is a moderately fast growing tree that can live to 100 years. It can be paired with the crimson-leaved Crimson King or Royal Red maples to obtain contrasting color from trees of largely same size and shape. Tolerant of a wide range of soils and conditions. A clear winner.
|8-10 Feet||15 Gallon|
Full sun. Average to moist conditions. Should not be allowed to dry out. It is tolerant of cold, wind and urban conditions.
Prune in late summer after leaves have fully formed. Trident-shaped new growth needs to be managed by subordinating the laterals.
