European Beech
The European beech is one of the most widely planted ornamental trees in Europe and for good reason. It tends to have a short trunk and form the crown from upward sweeping branches that create an upright oval canopy. The dark grey bark is striking. Leaves emerge lime green and darken with age. The golden yellow color is also outstanding. It is more resistant to beech bark disease than American beech.
